  2. Hi LockNoob! I love your videos and I really appreciate the fact that you put many, many hours into making these videos just to help newbies like me. But I have a question. In an emergency situation where a rookie picker with no experience (like me) is asked to open the front door of a house or a padlock on a gate without damaging the lock, and there's literally no time to waste, will a Bump Key work on most door locks? Or Shims on the padlock? Recently, a neighbor had to call the Fire Dept to open her front door after her toddler locked himself in the house. I would have loved to have helped her but I didn't know what to do. Any advice would be appreciated. Than ks form all do here on YouTube

  3. Hi, I've come to enjoy lockpicking although I classify myself on an apprentice skill level wise. I've found that the hockey puck and the rake that looks like a W work well for me. Nonetheless, I don't know what you mean by good brands as I have little knowledge of lockpicking manufacturers. I'm enjoying it thus far and the only reason I say I'm an apprentice skill-wise is that I'm still figuring out which pick is best used for what. Do you have any videos that break down which picks work best for which locks,(I don't mind if it's personal opinion-based) I feel like I've hit a bottlecap due to, well, lack of knowledge and more theoretical knowledge. I'd appreciate a helping hand there as I can't buy things such as books but the internet is my oyster and I have access therein. Thank you for reading.

  4. I just bit the bullet and got a euro set. Now I've got a good normal set the southord pxs14 couple Peterson pry bars, some warded picks and now a law lock euro set en route.

  5. I've been picking pins down since I was a little kid, I thought I had developed a goofy habit and I've been struggling to correct it. I see I was fretting over nothing and now I can sorta do both. Great video!

  6. I do it to expensive kryptonite deluxe unpick able D locks out in the filed. Real world consequence man pro piker can move there 10k ebikes to the other places (my van) .. Just love the risk of opening it and locking it again while the owner is dropping off his kids I've never used keys after mastering myslls

  7. I am wondering; What kind of a "superior trick" these brothers did here in Finland like 30 yrs. ago (which made the "KRP" [our version of the FBI] officers amazed in the early 90`s). The way of picking was totally new trick here, the technique was to read the lock mechanism and then those fellows build the key right on the spot. Untill that event the police in Finland know only this device called "vempele tiirikka" (you can google it) and this was the only known way to open locks untill that event took place.

  8. I find the plastic locks more difficult because the pins like to bind on the plastic more. Metal locks have been easier for me to pick because they click and feel like what I'd expect from watching a bunch of YouTube videos. I'm still super new to picking but I'm already obsessed, which is nice cause I needed a hobby after breaking my back and landing myself in a wheelchair. Picking is the first thing in 4 years that has intrigued me so much. Really enjoying myself so far. Thanks for the video, I appreciate the advice.

  9. I have realized that a lot of my trouble with starting to learn to pick is that all of my practice locks are locks that I have taken off of houses and apartments and replaced with different ones for various reasons over my career. I figured rather than throw them out I could at least take the cores out and use them for practice. But that means I've been trying to pick on a wide variety of different keyways that have various different levels of wear with some being basically new and others having seen 10+ years on a front door. My locks are so inconsistent that so I found it hard to start out since every other lock I have is a different keyway.
