A video tutorial on how to open and start a 2022 – 2023 Honda Civic that has a dead or broken remote key fob. If the remote key fob for your Honda Civic has a dead battery or is otherwise not working, you will need to use the emergency key located in the bottom of your remote key fob. Once the emergency key is removed, you will then use it to unlock the key cylinder under the Civic’s drivers door handle. Then place the remote key fob near the stop/start button and start your Honda Civic as you normally would.
This video will show you how to unlock, open and start your vehicle if you have a dead, bad or broken remote key fob on the following Honda models:
2022 Honda Civic
2023 Honda Civic

A vid came out that shows not being able to open the lock manually if the battery dies. is this true? are you able to test this out please
And if the car battery is dead? Will the mechanical key still work?
thank you very much.
