In this video, we will be taking a close look at the Grim Survival Key Card, Dog Tag Fishing Kit, and Micro Spool Tool. All three are made from 400 series stainless steel that has also been hardened. These aren’t your dollar store “survival” tools. These are serious tools with serious results. Unlike most other credit-card-sized metal survival tools that are “one and done” kind of things, Grim Survival has knocked it out of the park with their tough and reusable designs.
The lock pick set is absolutely functional and usable for multiple locks. The handcuff key and shim also work well. The only complaint I have for the Key Card is that the edges of the tools are quite sharp, so you can cut yourself if you aren’t careful. The steel will start to bend if you apply too much force beyond what should be considered normal for lock picking. (I was intentionally being a bit rough to test the tools and see how well they would hold up.)
The Fishing Kit Dog Tag is also innovative and extremely handy to have as an emergency backup. The hooks are sharp and made of the same stainless steel that the picks are, so they should hold up very well over time if you had to use them repeatedly. It also eliminates the need to go looking around for bait, since there are three lures for each of the three hooks.

I bought the dogtag fishing kit. So good i got two. Not the one in this video though.

I love these tools and I have them in the EDC. But it is important to know that, newer handcuffs have a hole on the side where the lock is locked. They can no longer be tightened and the shim does not work that way. To open it, the lock must first be opened by turning the key in the opposite direction. But what needs a lot more strength. Unfortunately this tool is too weak for that and it bends. (I tested it myself.) But the shim is excellent for opening cable ties.

The great thing about being able to put them back is that you can sand/file them to remove the sharp edges unlike most of the others on market
