Hi. Can't get into my Passat B5.5. all I have is a battery charger. Would this work if I used a battery charger???
What size jump leads are you using?
Also did you jump start? By turning the clio on and giving some throttle?
Where you worried about blowing a fuse etc? Did you blow a fuse or damage the electrics?
You're a genius ! I saw your 'trick' too late – I applied the 'hook cable trick' (wheel off – inner mudd shield off – pull the hook cables to open the hook to be able to plug an external battery to the 'charger poles') – but after I also tested your method and it works as a dream 🙂
Tip for easy access to the wires: simply un-clip the lateral indicator (push it to the rear, then pull it out) , clip the lamp socket off the indicator, pull the orange lamp out, stick 2 nails into the clamps – brown (on our car : brown-white) is minus – and connect them to a battery
