Really don’t listen to this guy, you’re better off programming and buying the key fob at the dealership, there are always problems hat Can occur with working with a third party

Dealers absolutely love smart fob owners who break the fobs. It's only about 80% pure profit for them (my ex-father-in-law managed a Toyota dealership,).
I have a 09 volvo s80, my key fob dousnt come out anymore, it is no the motor as it injects the key but dousnt eject, theres no broken peices inside the housing, i hooked up an autel pro series reader to the car and found under keys that it shows the key inject in as activated but shows key eject out not activated and wont let me change anything, any ideas?

I have an issue you might be able to help with. 2001 Ford Ranger. Lost keys. Towed to dealer, they made 2 keys and it doesn’t work. They said I need a new Ecu. Quoted me $600. No lights on dash when using new key. Old silver spare without chip turns ignition and lights turn on but don’t start. Locksmith tried and his programmer says ECU disconnected so he couldn’t help me program keys either. Do I really need a new ECU to fix this?
What’s a locksmith ? Where would you find such a creature?

My boyfriend lost his key with the chip in it and he called and had several locksmiths come and make a key but none have been able to start the car why is that? They are saying he may need a new ignition when he just lost his keys and now none of them have made a key thay will can start it he even got the code from the dealer.
where i am some locksmiths are actually MORE than the dealer by like 50 to80 bucks. Most around here are outright thieves!
