  1. Awesome videos Paul , cheeky question if you can point me where to find the purge valve on a 1.2 fiat 500 please ?? Keep on getting a P044313 error / fault code on mine . Any help will be much appreciated

  2. Morning Paul, be wary when removing that transfer off the rear window. Like on my Fiat Tipo, they have placed it over the rear heater grid lines. Very annoying 😡

  3. I have the dreaded starter issue on my 2012 500..after replacing starter.cleaning negative body / engine grounds / checking fuses and relays. .still no crank no start..started a few times..then stopped..no codes..am about to re:remove new starter and have it checked. .this was also a theft recovery* ☆ Update ☆ found the culprit!! Not the starter but Operator Error!! After cleaning all other grounds I inadvertently MISSED checking the positive SIGNEL wires under the main positive from the battery.. and there they were..all rusted and corroded!!..no wonder it would not start..lol..

  4. Very good progress so far Paul! bet yer bum was puckering when ya went to start it after changing the sensor ring! that will it or wont it moment!!!.
Strange that the stop/start symbol wont clear from the dash!- faulty switch or wiring maybe? did it show up on multi ecu scan?.
Hope you sort the rest soon without any more issues !-be good if you can take it on a longer spin round to fully check the gearbox function! looking forward to the next part! also agree about the pricing as previously mentioned!.

  5. Great looking car Paul such a lovely colour. I’ve had a padlock sign come up on my Panda it always clears after 3rd restart of engine. Hopefully the same with your triangle sign on the dash.

  6. The warning triangle ⚠️ light comes on when detects any fault and will stay on until you reset the ignition so it doesn't go out if you clear any faults so you need to switch off and on again and it should stay off provided no further faults are detected your triangle, warning was triggered by the engine fault or 1 of the others you had before clearing code, mine comes on with the use of the indicators as I have led 1s but will always reset when ignition is off until the indicators are activated again.

  7. You can get an emergency start box which will start the car and bypass the immobiliser! The auto box on 500's are notoriously poor for reliability. They are the same 5 speed manual gearbox but with servo assisted clutch. It's not a true auto. The servo and or clutch can fail as on a manual. They are problematic and best avoided!

  8. I had a led bulb in the number plate lights on mine which gave the wrong voltage amount when turned on sometimes the triangle came up occasionally
But I think your issue was that you cleared the faults with the ignition on and until you removed the keys it could not clear the triangle off the dashboard
Good car so far an easy one really or so you make it seem like
I think that it will sell well

  9. I would check prices before advertising, automatics are easier to sell and worth a lot more than manuals so don't sell yourself short on this one. For future reference the transponder aerial has about 100 turns of very fine wire inside which would have broken when it cracked, hence the open circuit code and non start symptom 👍

  10. Paul, I went out to check mine. You can start in gear if you have your foot on the brake (immediately goes into neutral) . When you remove your foot it beeps. I generally put in neutral before I start the vehicle, saves having to move the lever too much. My triangle is on with the parking lights probably due to a slightly different bulb maybe. I leave in gear when parked, but I don't fully trust it on a hill so I turn the steering towards the kerb. I have a crappy vid that I can send to show you,if you like 😢. P.S. if the doors are not closed the gear drops into neutral when you drive.

  11. Hi Paul, we had the triangle light on, on our 500 we rebuilt. All the lights were working, but one of the bulbs (can’t remember which now) was just going a bit black, although still working. Changed it and the triangle light went off

  12. Our other car's an auto but that box confused me.
Anyone else play "I bet he's got one of those"? More parts than Halfords 😉😂
Cracking job as always Paul 👏 👏
