I got 2 new aftermarket FOBIKs for this 2014 Ram 1500.
Can we get this truck running today without going to the dealer for key programming??

that was almost as easy as using vagcom with a new beetle
I did use Xtool like Ivan did to program key on Dodge 2018 but unfortunately it failed. It apparently only support model below 2017 if i remember it right or I did something wrong, but it's a great tool.
Nice work! Have them buy a second key too
"support" team lol
I love your videos i think your expertise in vehicle diagnostics is top notch i learn a lot from you. I saw the Trump sign 😢 i gave you a pass with that we live in a great country with 2 party system we need to try to understand each other but come on Ivan, Mastriano????? Lol btw im in Pa too
What I have been able to do with some of these RFID keys is wrap the new (cut) key's head in tinfoil and tape (or hold) the old key up against it, stick the new one in the ignition, start the car, then remove the old key and tin foil and go ahead and program the new key to be recognized by the car. Not sure how this would work with one like this where the RFID chip is right in the tip of the key fob where you stick it into the ignition. Also, something like this one might be able to solder swap the RFID chip from the old key to the new.
Awesome work Ivan. That Xtool is definitely one key programming tool to have.
Hmm, was it something I said?
Interesting that my expensive Pros scanner won’t auto ID my 2004 Ram 1500 5.7L. Xtool D8 would not either, I sent that one back. My cheap little Actron scanner Auto IDs it just fine. I did download the Dodge updates.
It's great you could fix the problem for the customer but I'm not so sure it is a great thing that anyone with just the Xtool and a blank key from Amazon can bypass the immobilizer of the vehicle that easy?! I mean that's Mickey Mouse security right?
lol..the pin
So, any thief with this scan tool can steal the car?? Love your videos!
I have an XTOOL A30M Bluetooth scanner. It's really good. Has 21 special functions and was totally worth the $230 i spent for it.
Way to go,Ivan!!!!!!!!!
Nice.
Here's a hint for you. Take out the battery before you run a wire brush over the "live" circuit board. If it isn't broken before it probably is now. Love you work Ivan
That's an awesome scanner!!! Chrysler won't give you a pin anymore without a workorder. Thanks Ivan!!!
Friggin hair pulling Electro Techno Crap LOL
So you can basically steal a Fobik equipped Chrysler if you have an Xtool
amazing tool the 👍 I wonder if can it work on early 2000s nissan man the older nissan cars the Toshiba ECU is a nightmare to scan to program a key or even a simple throttle body program
well guarantee the car theif is going to go up after people see this video
i like how you try different brands. and that you also crank diag videos everyday
OMFG. metal brush for electronic AND battery in…
Ivan , don't be a spy for putin .
I must know where I can get the halo switch checker
Shouldn't be using a wire brush on electronic, especially when it still has voltage to it.
That brush was just too rough for a tiny circuit board, and battery wasn’t removed
Great Video as usual Ivan, I used to be a bit of an Autel Evangelist and use various Autel tools for the Workshop. Since discovering Xtool, I now have a D9s Pro and can do all the functions of the dealers and more. Add the Xtool KC501 to your Xtool kit and you now have the ability to do all keys lost and key simulations as well as programming eproms etc. For testing of key fobs and wireless remotes, be sure to keep an Autel KM100 handy. Nothing to date beats it for price and function as it is also a key programmer.
All that old key probably needed was a new watch battery 😂
Yes! I was excited to see this type of video come along. Seeing scanner limitations is huge. I like how they have the cutout for that type of fob but no capability, wth.
Ive been using xtool scanner for over a year now and it has been doing well. Was looking at key programmer's so i guess this puts that decision to bed
I'm screaming, "use a nylon bristle brush"
Depending on condition, I like to swap the working electronics into OEM cases. The cheap keyfob shells usually feel cheaper than OEM shells.
I have the xtool D8 pro. I just love it
Иван, ты меня удивил! Как можно чистить плату металлической щеткой, не удалив батарейку!?
Great video, We supply the Xtool range in the UK , and find it to be a great programming tool.
I just wonder whats wrong with a basic phisical key that combats water, rust, does not hault the car if it needs a new battery, and does not require programming that instill nervousness, and most of all, physical key is not hackable from a far away code grabbing thief. Take care you all.
Hi Ivan I have a D8 XTool I make diagnostic , key programming like you , it's a realy great tool
I was able to program additional, Amazon sourced fobik keys for a Dodge Grand Caravan using AlfaOBD on my laptop. It did work just fine, until my WINS and Wireless Control Module died. So it is possible. And AlfaOBD (for FCA stuff only) is only about $50 for a licensed copy. 😎
I have Xtool d7
Use a tooth brush
