S2:E8 – Snow Guide to the Pacific Crest Trail: “Nasty Hiking3”

I include this 5-second video because I want you to see the expression on my face so that you realize that weather conditions in the Sierra can change rapidly and that they take a toll, the longer you’re out in them!

It is always to your advantage and personal safety to stay in your tent on days like this (which we actually did a few days later!) and not pack up and venture out, risking getting wet and cold, unless you are absolutely certain that you can reach a cabin with a fireplace or vehicle with a reliable and productive heater before you become exhausted and hypothermic.
This is serious stuff and not for the inexperienced.
