In Starfield, “Late Bloomer” is a Jemison-based side mission where your task is to assist Kelton Frush in obtaining an ancient tree branch from Akila City.

There are several ways to get the tree branch. You can persuade the tour guide at the museum in Akila City to give it to you, or you can try to steal it from the safe (which requires an expert level of lockpicking) behind the counter.

Alternatively, you can go to Ear Fulton and try pickpocket it from him, kill him, or pay him 500 credits. Since I failed to persuade the tour guide and didn’t have the lockpicking or pickpocket perks, I paid Ear Fulton 500 credits for the branch.

Starfield is an action role-playing game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks in 2023. It was announced during Bethesda’s E3 presentation in 2018. The game takes place in a space-themed setting, and is the first new intellectual property developed by Bethesda in 29 years.

Starfield is set in an area that extends outward from the Solar System for approximately 50 light-years called the Settled Systems. Around the year 2310, the two largest factions in the game, the United Colonies and Freestar Collective, engaged in a conflict called the Colony War. The game takes place 20 years after the war, with the major factions enjoying an uneasy peace. The player assumes the role of a customizable character who is a member of Constellation, an organization of space explorers.
