They just arrested another shooter in this situation. It happened to be another 14 year old that ran away to south Florida after the shooting happened. Where tf are the parents?!
This is the best breakdown of the situation I've seen on this shooting. With the breakdown on where both parties are from, their online profiles and overall reporting of what happened.
As someone from Tampa and who lives not far at all from Ybor this is so senseless. All of this happened because someone waved/said hi to a girl? How can you be so insecure about that? Plus why in the world is a 14 year old gitt out past 11 especially in Ybor where most places are 21+?
Of course it starts at home but apparently this dad wasn't fit to be a father figure in the first place. He's been arrested numerous times (look up Emmitt Wilson). This is the 2nd kid the father has lost due to gun violence. I feel bad but at the same time you need to be active in your kids life and get them out of situations like this. Or simply realize you're not capable of raising kids.
They need to catch all of the shooters or shooter for the sake of the victims. Phillips did what he needed to do in that situation whether you like it or not.
Overall this could have completely been avoided in different ways. Don't let your 14 year old past 10 pm. But regardless of age nothing good happens past midnight. Ignoring the dude that waved to someone you're with. Those 2 things alone and this would have never happened.
