The upcoming wipe is soon and they are currently testing things in the dungeons, so we experiment a bit with an unusual build on ranger and try to determine its viability.
A new journey begins in the dungeons, caves and ruins of Dark and Darker. A hardcore extraction looter FP(S?) game set in a high and somewhat dark fantasy world.

The game is in a bit of a weird spot at the moment so I'm not too sure what to do, going to be trying some different things whilst waiting for the wipe to see if anything sticks, plenty more content coming when the wipe hits, very excited for it 🙂

If solo, take off advance hearing, turn up your headset, & put in the other reloading perk.
Unless the devs changed it, both reloading perks grant the crossbow 100% reload speed.
Wouldn't say it's meta changing but interesting to see the versatility of the ranger. Hopefully wipe is soon, desperately need more content.

21:25 reminder that there is gem spawns on the shelf behind these chests and in the eyes of the ox skull or whatever it is. Seen royals there before.
I'm personally more of a crypts fan, but I've also grown to like ruins. But if they keep the three tier system I'd like to see an extra matchmaking for crypts. So when you go down from ruins you would queue up for others going to crypts. Then going to inferno would just be who is left in that second mixed lobby from crypts. I think that would help fill In the gap from ruins to crypts. Noone wants to play pve on crypts.

I would try and build max pdr and health roles on items to make this viable
to anyone playing normals rn due to the testing of the ranked system i would heavily reccomend not using spear mastery and instead using a arming sword and hand crossbow as the low dex with only white gear makes it too slow to be worth
The hand crossbow also benefits from crossbow mastery so its great for closer range poking where you dont have time to get a crossbow reload off safely as the hand crossbow has a faster reload

Glad to see another upload! Thanks for all you do. Ive been struggling now that im forced to play crypts. I have a hard time navigating, and im seeing areas that ive never seen before. Is it an older version? Sometimes i cant find a portal and end up having to go inferno, where i inevitability die lol
Chase is underrated. Rogue is a death sentence so being able to know when one is creeping on you is very valuable
I love the feeling of crossbows on ranger. I like to use headshot mastery and ranged weapon mastery for that little bit more damage.
